Jeff Teague has been awesome, but looks like Fools Gold tonight. Teague has been excellent over his last six games, mostly benefiting from the absence of Paul George. PG13 is looking like he’s trending towards playing today which could significantly cut into Teague’s usage. Even worse, Teague will have to matchup with Chris Paul tonight who is one of the better defenders in the league. He stifled Teague in their Nov 30th meeting, holding him to just seven real points.

Today’s Projections | NBA Game Logs | Player Scoring Calendar

Shooting Guard is easily the thinnest position on the slate today with few compelling options. The three options will be Victor Oladipo, Evan Fournier and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. All three are fine options but I am looking at Oladipo for the highest upside. This is breakout season for Oladipo and he’s scored 45+ DraftKings points in four of his last nine games. His ownership may dip a but because of his perceived bad matchup. The DraftKings contest lobby lists New Orleans as the 6th best defense against opposing SGs. I’m willing to look past that on a small slate. This game has the highest total on the slate, so everyone is in play.

It’s worth pointing out that Derrick Rose has had his three best fantasy games of the season, in his last four outings. That’s right, he’s piled up 48, 44.25 and 39.25 DraftKings points which are three of his highest scoring game all year. What’s changed for Rose? Well, mostly it’s the secondary categories. He’s showing a willingness to rebound this week that we haven’t seen to this point of year. He’s playing with energy and on both ends of the court. This matchup with Sacramento should allow him to keep it rolling!

On a per minute basis, Nikola Vucevic has been one of the best players in the league over the last seven days. In that span, Vucevic is scoring 1.38 DraftKings per minute over 112 minutes. That rate is the 10th best in the league and better than the likes of Chris Paul, Damian Lillard, Stephen Curry, Hassan Whiteside and more. His constant double-doubles have allowed him to post 39+ DraftKings points in five of six. Vucevic is interesting because he’s now coming off the bench for Orlando, but his minutes and production have barely been impacted. He makes for a nice pivot at one of the deepest positions on the slate.
