No one on this slate has been better than Jake Arrieta ($13,500). Coming off a no-hitter and a 57 DK point performance, his price tag jumps to $13,500. I certainly don’t expect another 57 point game but Arrieta is poised for another great outing today against the DBacks who are in the bottom third of the league in hitting right now. This price is about as high as I would go on Arrieta, but he is the safest cash game play on the board. He hasn’t scored his owners anything less than 20 points in his L6 starts and is averaging 30.5 over his L10.

One of my favorite GPP plays of the day is David Price ($11,900) because I think he has tremendous upside in this game. Price has dazzled in his L5 starts, averaging 25.36 DK points per game (2nd on the slate). Despite Baltimore’s 10 run outburst last night, they are a team that is really struggled with the 6th worst wOBA this week and one of the higher K rates all season. Additionally, they rank 23rd vs. LHP this season. That’s a deadly combination for David Price.

If you’re looking to save up, look no further than John Lamb ($7,900). We have talked before about his ridiculous strikeout rate which is currently 11.69 K/9, the highest on today’s slate. I couldn’t agree more with the blurb from Rotoworld, so I am just going to include it here:

Lamb has gone without a win and has a 5.24 ERA and 1.43 WHIP through four starts, but he hasn’t pitched nearly as poorly as those numbers would indicate. His excellent 29:5 K:BB ratio over 22.1 innings is stellar, with an abnormally high BABIP (.404) and home-run rate (1.61 HR/9) supporting the notion that he’s run into some unfortunate luck.

I think that’s dead on. Lamb will face the struggling Brewers who he saw just five days ago, posting 8 Ks in 6 IP and returned 22.5 DK points.

We have to give a nod to Derek Holland ($7,200) who tops our Pitcher Value Chart today. He has looked great in his three starts back this season, only getting roughed up by TOR (but who doesn’t?). Coming off a ridiculous 48.9 point performance against the Orioles. He gets another great matchup today with the LA Angels who own the league’s 4th worst wOBA in the L14. Their struggles go back to basically the All-Star Break as they have not been able to piece it all together.
