The Chicago Cubs are my favorite stack of the day and I’m not sure it’s even close. They are going to face Wily Peralta today who owned the 6th worst xFIP on the slate, has the lowest K/9 on the slate and has been walking a ton of batters lately. That’s a really bad combination. How hot have the Cubs been? In the L7 days they have 8 hitters batting over .300, four batting over .400 and one batting over .500!

My favorite Cub has to be Anthony Rizzo ($5,000). He’s going to be expensive but he’s well worth the price. Rizzo is a stud with insane power and multi HR upside. He has faced Wily Peralta 26 times in his career and is a .462 hitter with five HRs.

I want some exposure to the Coors Field game so I am looking at Pedro Alvarez ($4,100) as the man who might be able to benefit the most from the thin air. Alvarez has all the power in the world if he can make contact! He hit his 25th homer of the season yesterday and will travel to the most HR friendly park in the league. Alvarez appears to be finding his HR swing, homering three times in the L7 games.

I love the flexibility that Yunel Escobar ($4,000) provides being eligible at 3B and SS. Coming off a massive four hit game yesterday, he continues to swing a hot stick. Hitting .413 in the L14 and has great numbers off Ubaldo Jimenez who he will face today. A career .368 hitter (7-19) with a longball.

One of my favorite targets for BvP is David Ortiz ($4,700). He gets a discount as he will face Chris Archer in this matchup, but Ortiz has handled the TB ace very well in his career. Ortiz is 9-24 (.375) with two homers in his career vs. Archer. Ortiz continues to hit well, batting .293 with 4 HRs in the L14.

Smaller slate of games today, but plenty of viable options including a Coors game. Commentary based on DraftKings strategy and scoring.
