An interesting team stack would be the Chicago Cubs vs. Michael Wacha today. Wacha is very quietly in one of the worst stretches of his career. Wacha’s 5.34 xFIP in the L30 is the second worst on this entire slate. His strikeouts are back down under 7 per nine innings while walked 4.50 batters per nine. Wacha has now surrendered four HRs in his L3 games and just two starts ago, it was the Cubs who were doing the damage, scoring six runs in just 4 IP off the Cardinals pitcher. The Cubs continue to roll offensively, and it would be no surprise if they took advantage of a struggling Wacha. Commentary based on DraftKings strategy and scoring.

Starlin Castro ($2,900) is coming off a massive 41 point performance where he homered twice and drove in six runs. His ownership will most likely jump, but the price is too good to pass him over. Castro is hitting .417 in the L14 and is a career .474 (9-19) hitter off Michael Wacha. Shortstop is always thin, but especially today. I am rostering Castro liberally.

Jason Rogers ($2,000) has been earning some extra playing time for the Brewers and he has shown some tremendous upside in the L14. Rogers is hitting .482 in that span with three XBHs. He’s a bit of a feast or famine play as he’s gone for double digits three times in the L7 games and scoring 0 points on another three occasions. However, it’s a great park and the price is right. Rogers wouldn’t need much to pay for himself.

Anytime Mark Trumbo ($3,600) gets to face a LHP on the road, I am interesting. He will move from Safeco Field which is one of the worst hitters parks in the league to Globe Life Park today, which allows 9% more HR to RHB than the league average. Trumbo has been swinging it well as a .319 hitting in the L14. Trumbo will face Cole Hamels and has had good success off the southpaw. A career .444 hitter with 4 hits in 9 ABs.

Finally, one of the better BvP numbers I could find belongs to Logan Forsythe ($3,400). A dismal two weeks has driven his price tag down, but he will face an old friend in Wei-Yin Chen today. Forsythe has 10 hits in 25 ABs for a smooth .400 average. He’s also hit three homers, two doubles and a triple in those ten hits.
