The Texas Rangers are one of the most difficult teams to understand. They go through extended periods of time where they are either the best or worst hitting team in baseball. Well, they are back to being the best and they own (by far) the league’s best wOBA in the L7 days. They would be a sneaky stack against Felix Hernandez and the Mariners who have nothing to play for. The Rangers are vying for a playoff spot and are at home in this one. Hernandez has struggled on the road where his ERA is nearly 1.5 runs higher. Most will stay away from the Rangers so this is your chance to get the hottest team in the league at low ownership.

I am licking my chops to get Justin Morneau ($3,400) into as many lineups as possible. The rare opportunity to get a hitter at Coors Field who’s price hasn’t gone up. If Morneau is in the lineup, you have to play him. He’s been hitting .360 in the L14 and has absolutely destroyed James Shields in his carrer, hitting .362 (17-47) with 4 HRs in his career. I don’t need to tell you the Coors effect, but I will. 8% more doubles, 46% more triples, 30% more HRs and 34% more runs surrendered compared to the league average.

Another guy with big time BvP numbers is Mark Trumbo ($3,700). Trumbo is hot right now, hitting .326 in the L14 and gets his old friend Derek Holland. Trumbo has homered five times off Holland in 44 ABs while hitting .318. A big boost to Trumbo traveling from Safeco and playing this series at Globe Life Park.

Another ridiculously low price on Carlos Gonzalez ($4,300) at Coors. He’s been only hitting .143 in the L14 but he had a hit last night and can get hot at any time. Another guy who’s owned James Shields, hitting .421 (8-19) with two HRs. CarGo offers multi HR upside at a fair price.

Anytime a LHP is on the hill versus the Indians, you need to take a look at Ryan Raburn ($2,500). A notorious lefty killer who will most likely hit in the middle of the lineup for the Tribe. Raburn has seen John Danks plenty in his career, going 17-47 (.362) with 4HRs and 7 doubles.
