The Houston Open is in the books and the Optimal Lineup is complete! It scored 566.5 points and cost $48,300.

Optimal Lineup

Jason Kokrak ($8,800 & 117.0 Points)

Kokrak made four consecutive birdies on the back-nine Sunday, en route to victory. This is his third victory in his last 28 starts worldwide. Kokrak’s week was not without setbacks. He had nine bogies, one double bogey and one triple bogey. However, he offset those with 24 birdies which certainly boosted his fantasy scoring.

Scottie Scheffler ($10,900 & 99.0 Points)

Scheffler appears in the optimal lineup for the second consecutive week. After sleeping on the 54-hole lead, this might be viewed as a disappointment since Scheffler is still searching for that first career PGA TOUR victory. This was only the 5th time in Scheffler’s career that he’s been $10,000+. He’s gained at least 18 fantasy points on the field in every one of those starts.

Matt Wolff ($10,400 & 85.0 Points)

Wolff continues his excellent start to the 2022 season, earning at least a T17 finish in all four starts. He’s averaged 106,5 fantasy points over those four events. His Houston Open performance was highlighted by an ace on Sunday. Expect Wolff to remain priced in this range during some of the weaker field events on the schedule.

Kevin Tway ($6,100 & 97.5 Points)

Tway headlined the trio of golfers in the optimal lineup who cost $6,100 or less. With a closing birdie on 18, Tway was able to secure a two-way tie for second. He didn’t have a single birdie streak all week, but his second round was full of fantasy points. He carded two separate eagles and three more birdies during that round.

Kramer Hickok ($6,100 & 83.0 Points)

This was Hickok’s best performance since his epic eight-hole playoff at the Travelers Championship with Harris English. He had lost points to the field in six of his nine starts after that week but bounced-back in Houston.

Martin Trainer ($6,000 & 85.0 Points)

Trainer came out of nowhere to contend this week in Houston. Previous to this week, Trainer hadn’t cracked the 65 fantasy point mark since January. He had lost points to the field in 59 of his last 68 events. He had garnered 0.0% ownership in 13 of his last 14 (0.01% in the other). An amazing performance to end up in the optimal lineup.
