Scott Kazmir is an interesting target tonight for the Dodgers. In the last thirty days only two pitchers have a higher K/9 on this slate than Kazmir. That K/9 is a stellar 10.6 over his last 27.2 IP inlcuding a 12 strikeout performance against the Reds which shows some of his upside. Tonight he gets one of the best matchups you can ask for against the Brewers. In the last thirty days, Milwaukee ranks 24th in wOBA while striking out at the third highest rate (25%).They will have to step away from hitter-friendly Miller Park and travel to LA for this one. The Brewers are 25th in wOBA on the road this season compared to 10th at home.

Colby Lewis has been sneaky good for the Rangers this season. I don’t normally like to target pitchers with this few strikeouts, but he appears to be a viable option tonight. Lewis is sporting a 1.80 ERA, allowing only four ER over his last 20 innings (three starts). Opposing hitters are batting just .178 against him and Lewis is going to eat up innings for you. He has lasted at least six innings in 12 of 13 starts this season, going five innings in that other game. I had high hope for the Athletics this season, but they’ve been disappointing. Lewis will battle Oakland who ranks 25th in wOBA at home this season.

The Red Sox/Orioles game has all the makings of a slugfest. The Red Sox are going to roll out Eduardo Rodriguez who has allowed nine ER and five HRs over his last 10.1 IP while only striking out four batters. On the flip side, the O’s might be in even worse shape with Tyler Wilson on the bump. Wilson is sporting a 6.67 ERA over his last five starts. He’s lasted 28.1 IP in those games and allowed at least three earned runs in every single start. I don’t even have to mention that these are two of the most explosive offensives in the league ranking 1st (BOS) and 4th (BAL) in wOBA this season. Also, this game will be played at Fenway, which is the 7th most hitter friendly park in the league.
