Joe Ross has been feast or famine for the Nationals this season. What’s notable is that he’s turned in two solid games in a row for 16.8 and 21.6 DraftKings points. Tonight he’s going to get the Phillies who are one of the weaker offenses in the league. They rank 28th in wOBA, 29th in runs scored and 29th in home runs. Ross was mightily success in his only meeting with the Phillies this season, posting 28.3 DraftKings points over 7.2 IP. That was Ross’ best fantasy game of the season.

We talked a few days ago that the Rangers struggle on the road. To refresh your memory, Texas ranks 25th in wOBA away from home. To expand on that split, only six teams have hit fewer HRs and only three teams have scored fewer runs. They will have their hands full with Corey Kluber tonight. The Indians ace has some of the highest upside in the league, scoring at least 30 DraftKings points in three of his last seven games. He’s coming off a dazzling nine strikeout performance against the White Sox and he’s only surrendered three ER over his last 14.1 IP.

I don’t love targeting the LA Angels, but they’ve been swinging the bats better in the last two weeks with an above average wOBA and striking out at the second lowest rate in the league. Today they get the benefit of facing Anibal Sanchez who is in the midst of the worst season of his career. Since April 17, Sanchez has allowed at least three ER in every single start (eight). He’s surrendered a total of 37 runs in 43 innings that span. His 4.53 BB/9 is sixth worst of all pitchers in the league. His 1.87 HR/9 is also sixth-worst of all pitchers in the league. It’s just bad all around for Sanchez right now so I am willing to take nearly every offense against him.
