Kemba Walker ($7,000) is going to make for an intriguing play tonight. Kemba has been excellent as of late, scoring at least 37.5 DraftKings points in nine of his last eleven games, including 49.25 last night thanks to a monster 33-6-5 line. Now he’s going to get a Boston team who’s going to have to travel to Charlotte after a double OT game against the Warriors last night. Expect heavy legs from the Celtics tonight. Kemba has as much upside as anyone in this price range.
Deron Williams ($6,600) continues his revitalization with the Mavericks averaging 36.9 DraftKings points per game over his L6. In fact, he’s been incredibly consistent, scoring 34+ in eight of ten. The Mavs are going to see a nice boost from the Wizards who can push the pace, so we can expect a few extra possessions for Dallas this evening.
CJ McCollum ($6,900) has been a nice complement to Damian Lillard this season. CJ has been filling it up every night, pouring in 19.5 PPG while scoring at least 35 DraftKings points in five straight games. The Knicks are going to have their hands full with this 1-2 punch of the Trail Blazers and McCollum is still priced just a bit too low. He’s taken at least 17 shots in nine of ten, so expect plenty of opportunity again tonight.
CJ Miles ($5,700) is always a really interesting GPP play. He bounces back and forth between the starting five and the bench, but either way he earned 30+ minutes and loves to shoot the ball. Take last night for example. Miles come off the bench, but led the team with 18 shots in 34 minutes. His range of outputs is rather large, but when he gets hot, he scorches. He’s scored 30+ in five of ten and 40+ in two of seven. That’s a whole lotta upside from a guy who costs under $6k.
It’s worth noting what Ersan Ilyasova ($4,800) is up to right now. Three very good games in a row for Ilyasova, earning 28.25, 38.25 and 37.5 DraftKings points. He’s not afraid to shoot the three ball, with 21 attempts in those three games. He’s been a solid contributor on the glass with 28 rebounds during the same stretch. The Pistons are a dangerous offensive team at times and Ilyasova should have a solid chance to reach full 6x value today at only 28.8 DraftKings points.
Great matchup, full minutes, revenge game. Call if whatever you want, but roster Dwight Howard ($7,200) tonight. Howard has been outstanding this season on a points per minute basis. He’s averaging 1.1 DK points per minute, but has actually seen a much higher rate for extended stretches. With this game not being a back-to-back you can expect a full compliment of minutes from Dwight in one of the best matchups you can ask for against LAL. Throw in the “revenge game” narrative and Howard is looking like the top option at the position.
While it’s Pau Gasol who’s earning all the praise for the Bulls lately, don’t forget how good Joakim Noah ($4,700) has been. Let me list off his L6 games for you: 32.25, 30.75, 24.5, 24.75, 25.25 and 25.75. All of those would easily be worth 5x value today while he’s exceeding much closer to 6x or 7x in the last two weeks. An excellent matchup in a projected high scoring game with the Pellies who have given up the 4th most DraftKings points to opposing centers this season.
