BRAND NEW: NBA Projections Now Live

2015-16 Game Logs | Player Scoring Calendar | Salary Database | Points Allowed By Position

As the saying goes “when there’s blood on the street, buy property”. The ultimate phrase to remind you to buy low and that’s exactly what I will be doing with Reggie Jackson ($7,200) today. The reining Conference Player of the Week laid an absolute dud on Monday night, posting just four points and 5.25 DraftKings points. Throw that game out the window, as Reggie has been excellent this season, pouring in 19.3 PPG and posting games of 53 and 65 DraftKings points in his last five. I suspect many jaded owners will avoid Jackson tonight, especially with so many other options on the slate. We get a nice discount and an excellent matchup to fire up Reggie.

How about Ricky Rubio ($6,700) for tonight? Rubio only needs 33.5 DraftKings points to reach 5x value tonight, a feat he has easily accomplished in his last two outings. Rubio has a tremendous level of built-in upside with his ability to rack up assists and rebounds. He’s a triple-double threat in good matchups and that’s exactly what he has tonight against the Lakers who have surrendered the 4th most points to opposing PGs this season.

Want to continue to buy low? Then look no further than James Harden ($10,600) who’s coming off the worst game of his season, scoring only ten points and 30.25 DraftKings points. Don’t expect that type of game to happen too often for Harden who only took nine shots on the night. He’s right back at it tonight in a fast-paced, high-total matchup with the Wizards. Harden tops my NBA Projections for tonight.

I think Courtney Lee ($4,000) is worth a look tonight. He’s coming off the Grizzlies bench, but earning 30 minutes a night, providing him plenty of opportunity to score fantasy points. He’s launched 46 shots in his last four games with the ability to tack on rebounds and assists. He’s shown the ability to get hot and posted 18 points in a 34 DraftKings point performance on Sunday night.

I suspect you won’t be alone in rostering him, but Marcus Thornton ($3,800) needs to be on your radar. It appears doubtful that Trevor Ariza plays tonight after leaving last night’s game early. Thornton stepped in and had a massive night, scoring 32 real points and earning his owners a staggering 52 DraftKings points in just 26 minutes. Don’t expect another 52 DraftKings points tonight, but he only needs 22.8 to reach full 6x value. Assuming the minutes are there, Thornton should be locked into your lineups.

An impressive run of late for Dirk Nowitzki ($6,800) who is proving to be one of the most consistent players in the league. Dirk has scored at least 33 DraftKings points in six of his last eight including two 40+ point performances in the last week. Dirk could give the Hawks all they can handle tonight. ATL has been decimated underneath the basket in terms of buckets and rebounds, which should provide Dirk a solid floor. Of course, Dirk is much more than just a paint player. If he gets hot from the outside, he will be in for a massive night.

NOTE: I had the wrong chart below for the Clippers. I am locating the correct one and will update ASAP.
I want to point out a few shot charts to show the outstanding situation that Greg Monroe ($7,200) finds himself in tonight. Monroe will face the Clippers tonight, so let’s start with their defensive shot chart: What the chart says is that few teams in the league give up a higher FG% in the paint and near the basket than the Clippers. Now here’s Greg Monroe’s chart:

Not too surprising that Monroe does the vast majority of his work under the basket and he is amongst the league’s most efficient in that area. That’s obviously a stellar combination for Monroe who will also see a nice boost from the pace tonight.
