Plenty of great plays at Point Guard today, but I’d like to point out some value in Jerryd Bayless ($4,700). After missing the last five games, Bayless was thrust back into action taking on 35 minutes Monday night against the Rockets. He responded with 18 points and 31.75 DraftKings points. Bayless is not afraid to shoot the deep ball, taking 24 three point attempts in his last four games. He was asked to play a large role in the Bucks offense with Michael Carter-Williams sitting out against Houston. MCW is questionable for tonight’s contest and if he were to sit, would open up plenty of opportunity for Bayless.
A sneaky play with Evan Turner ($5,300) tonight. He’s carved himself a nice role in the Celtics offense and is becoming a four-category scorer. He can hang crooked numbers across the board which is making him incredibly valuable to fantasy owners. He’s averaging 30.6 DraftKings PPG over the last five contests, which would be worth 6x value tonight. He has scored at least 28 DraftKings points in nine of twelve games so you know exactly what you expect when rostering ET. He’s a capable scorer who is willing to crash the board and dish out assists. That is what is making him a prime 6th Man of the Year candidate.
Paul George ($8,600) is clearly the top “second tier stud” tonight. He’s averaging 45.2 DK PPG over the last five, and has now scored 45+ DK points in five of seven. He is dominating the usage for the Pacers and is taking nearly 20 shots on a nightly basis. He’s getting a great matchup with the Bucks tonight who are pitiful against wing players this season. George has taken advantage of his two meetings with Milwaukee this season, averaging 46.9 DK PPG.
The power forward position is pretty ugly, but there is a sneaky play in LaMarcus Aldridge ($6,900). I expect many will stay away from the Spurs forward because of the bad OPRK designation on DraftKings. The Pistons have allowed the 4th fewest DK points to opposing PFs, but Aldridge destroyed them in their only meeting this season. He posted a 22-13 line for 41.75 DraftKings points. Aldridge is in the midst of his best fantasy stretch of the season. He’s coming off a big, 26-16 game against Houston for 50.5 DraftKings points and he is finally being heavily featured in this Spurs offense.
He would be risky tonight, but Al Jefferson ($4,800) should be on your fantasy radar. He’s risky because he’s only played 21.9 minutes per game in the six contests since returning from injury. Also, this will be the first back-to-back that Jefferson has played in since missing those 22 games. It’s been a lost season for Jefferson, but he can still fill it up in a big way when healthy. Twenty minutes against the Sixers tonight might be all he needs to hit value at this price tag. Coming off a 19-7 games against Phoenix, he produced 29.75 DK points in only 19 minutes last night. He’s making the most of minutes on the court, taking 12 shots per game despite only plays 21.6 MPG over his last five. Jefferson torched Philly for 54.5 DraftKings points in their only meeting this season, his best game of the year.
