Week 6 Quarterbacks | Week 6 Running Backs |Week 6 Tight Ends
Am I concerned about Julio Jones ($9,200)? You better believe it. He looks like that toe injury was really bothering him last week against Washington. I think the injury that has limited him in practice has really hurt his conditioning as he came off the field in situations he would never come off. He also went the entire first half without a reception and only salvaged his day with a fumble recovery TD. With a short week providing little time to heal, I will get my exposure to Jones significantly this week.
Time to buy stock in AJ Green ($7,600). Many owners were off Green in a matchup versus Seattle last week and for good reason. SEA has been dominant against WRs this season. Green still put up a very respectable six catch, 78 yard performance. He also had a massive 72 yard TD called back on a holding call. I am licking my chops to get Green back into my lineups versus Buffalo who’s allowed the 5th most DraftKings points to opposing WRs.
Allen Robinson ($5,900) is now averaging 21 DraftKings points per games in the L4 and is now 10th in the league in total targets. We’ve talked about it before and it’s a very simple recipe. The Jaguars are going to be trailing a ton this season and when they are, they throw the ball. Robinson and Allen Hurns are huge beneficiaries of gamescript. He’s simply not priced high enough for a matchup with the Texans.
Kamar Aiken ($4,300) didn’t have a massive game last week as the Ravens new WR1 but he had a very respectable 11.8 DraftKings points. It was nice to see that he was Joe Flacco’s deep threat and they hooked up on a 48 yard strike. I would only roster him in Steve Smith misses another week, but the matchup is sublime, facing SF who has been shredded by just about everyone this season.
Another beneficiary of injuries is Marquess Wilson ($4,000). With Eddie Royal and Alshon Jeffery both missing last week’s game, Wilson hauled in six catchers for 85 yards and a TD. Again, if both CHI WRs miss Week 6, Wilson would be thrusted into a great matchup with the 6th worst passing defense in the league.
There will be a lot of “wait and see” when it comes to WR this week as injury could open up a ton of opportunity. Commentary based on DraftKings strategy and scoring.
